  • Affiliated hospitals when you apply for an employment position at an affiliated hospital through the use of our Website.

Your Choices and Rights

Unsubscribe from Emails

If you no longer wish to receive promotional emails, you may unsubscribe at any time by clicking the “unsubscribe” link in the promotional emails sent to you or by contacting us using the information below under the “How to Contact Us” section below. Please note that even if you opt out of receiving promotional emails from us, we may continue to send you non-promotional emails.

Do Not Track Signals and Global Privacy Control

Web browsers and other technologies you may use to access websites may include a Do-Not-Track (“DNT”) feature or setting you can activate to signal your privacy preference not to have data about your online browsing activities monitored and collected. Given the divergent practices of organizations that offer browsers and the lack of a standard in the marketplace, we generally do not respond to do-not-track signals at this time. We recognize Global Privacy Control (“GPC”) signals.

Protection of Personal Information and Data Retention

We maintain reasonable physical, electronic, and procedural safeguards designed to protect the security, integrity, and confidentiality of your Personal Information and to prevent it from unauthorized use or disclosure. Unfortunately, the transmission of information via the internet is not completely secure. Although we do our best to protect your Personal Information, we cannot guarantee the security of your Personal Information transmitted through the internet.

Your Personal Information will be retained as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes we have outlined above unless we are required to do otherwise by applicable law.

Children

Our Website and services are intended for individuals 18 years of age and older. We do not knowingly collect any information, including Personal Information, from children under 18 years of age. If you believe that we have inadvertently collected Personal Information from a child under the age of 18, please contact us at the address in the How to Contact Us section below, and we will take prompt steps to delete the information.

Our Website may contain links to third-party sites not owned or operated by us. We are not responsible for the privacy practices or the content of any websites operated by third parties. Once you have left our Website, we suggest you check the applicable Privacy Notice of the third-party website to determine how they will handle any information they collect from you.

Notice to California Residents

At this time, we are not subject to the California Consumer Privacy Act.

California Civil Code Section 1798.83 permits California residents to request and obtain from us, once a year and free of charge, information about categories of personal information (if any) we disclosed to third parties for direct marketing purposes and the names and addresses of all third parties with which we shared personal information in the immediately preceding calendar year. If you are a California resident and would like to make such a request, please submit your request in writing to us at info@SpecialistTeleMed.com. Please be aware, however, that we do not currently disclose your personal information to any third parties for marketing purposes.

Notice to Residents in Texas and Nebraska

If you are a resident of Texas or Nebraska you may be entitled to the privacy rights described below.

  • Right to Know and Access: You have the right to confirm whether we are processing your Personal Information and to access such Personal Information.  You may also have a right to know the categories of third parties to which we may disclose your Personal Information.
  • Right to Correct: You have the right to request that we correct inaccurate Personal Information that we maintain about you.
  • Right to Delete: You have the right to request that we delete your Personal Information subject to certain limitations under applicable law.
  • Right to Opt-out: You have the right to object or opt-out of certain types of processing, including: (1) processing for the purpose of targeted advertising, (2) processing for the purpose of the sale of Personal Information, and (3) certain processing for the purpose of profiling in furtherance of a decision made by the us concerning the consumer.  Please note that as of the date of this Privacy Notice, we do not engage in any types of processing from which there is an opt-out right.
  • Right to Data Portability: You have the right to request a copy of your Personal Information in a readable format.
  • Right to Equal Service: If you choose to exercise any of these rights, we will not discriminate against you in any way. If you exercise certain rights, understand that you may be unable to use or access certain features of our Sites, services, or properties.
  • Right to Appeal: If we do not grant your consumer request, you may have the right to appeal that denial.

Upon receiving your request, we may need to verify your identity to determine you are the same person about whom we have information in our system. These verification efforts require us to ask you to provide information so that we can match it with information you have previously provided to us. For instance, depending on the type of request you submit, we may ask you to provide certain information so that we can match the information you provide with the information we already have on file, or we may contact you through a communication method (e.g., phone or email) that you have previously provided to us.

We may revise this Privacy Notice from time to time without notice as we add new features or as laws change that may affect our services. Any amendments or modifications to this Privacy Notice will be posted on our Website and effective immediately upon posting. The date of the last modification will be indicated below.
