What Happens After You Join Specialist TeleMed
A Thoughtful, Streamlined Onboarding Experience
Once you’ve signed your agreement with Specialist TeleMed (STeM), your journey into meaningful, flexible telemedicine begins. We’ve designed our onboarding process to be thorough, supportive, and aligned with the high standards of care we deliver. Here’s what you can expect:
1. Credentialing & Vetting
We begin by verifying your credentials in accordance with the Joint Commission’s physician credentialing standards. This ensures that every STeM physician meets the highest level of clinical excellence and compliance.
2. Licensing Support
If you need additional state medical licenses to serve our hospital clients, we’ve got you covered. Our team will guide you through the process and manage the paperwork to help you obtain the necessary licensure efficiently and accurately.
3. STeM Orientation
Before you begin seeing patients, you’ll be introduced to our internal systems, workflows, and expectations. Our orientation is designed to set you up for success, ensuring you feel confident and supported from day one.
4. Hospital Credentialing
Our Medical Staff Office will work on your behalf to secure hospital privileges at your assigned client sites. We handle the coordination and communication so you can focus on preparing for clinical care.
5. Hospital Onboarding
Once privileges are approved, our Partner Success and IT teams will facilitate your onboarding at each hospital site. This includes training on hospital-specific systems, workflows, and technology to ensure a smooth transition into patient care.
6. Ongoing Support
After you’re active at a hospital client site, you’ll be supported by our Provider Network Team. They’ll be your go-to resource for day-to-day operations, scheduling, issue resolution, and anything else you need to thrive in your role.
