(Denver, CO): Specialist TeleMed has earned full accreditation by The Joint Commission through demonstrating continuous compliance with its performance standards. STeM is thrilled to accept the Gold Seal of Approval in ambulatory care from The Joint Commission for the second time, and is honored to collaborate with such an esteemed organization in the field of healthcare.
Specialist TeleMed underwent a rigorous review on February 7, 2022. During the assessment, Joint Commission reviewers evaluated compliance with ambulatory care standards spanning several categories. The Joint Commission’s standards are developed in consultation with healthcare experts and providers, as well as measurement experts and patients. They are informed by scientific literature and expert consensus to help healthcare organizations measure, assess, and improve performance.
Adriana Hernandez, Director of Compliance at STeM, piloted The Joint Commission survey process. “One of the aspects I appreciate most about working in compliance is that we are held to a higher standard of patient care,” says Hernandez. STeM prides itself on providing elite, attentive, and efficient care to the patients of its partnered facilities and is proud to align its values with those of The Joint Commission.
